After five days indoors?at?a major watch fair, fresh air the simplest and most accessible of nature's offerings tastes like sweet, delicious wine. And sunshine? Well, sunshine in the early months of the year in Switzerland converts any scene into Heidi. Both of these things flowed in through the windows of the limousine that transported us to Franck Muller's Watchland where without wanting to give anything away we had the perfect antidote to nearly a week indoors. A homely chateau full of sunny rooms, a manufacture with windows thrown open and yet more golden light from the sun's afternoon rays. And at every turn more illumination of a brand that remains fairly mysterious in the mix. How did this distinctive case shape happen? What makes Franck Muller, the man, so special? Why is this manufacture so very different ?in the way it does things?
