it seems a little thick and heavy compared to its black swiss army predecessor but seems rugged and easy to read and not too heavy to wear everyday.

This is an excellent timepiece. I receive loads of compliments whenever I wear it. It does run a bit large, as I had to have 7 links removed. Well worth the price. It is quite beautiful and of course keeps great time.
