The biggest surprise wasn't that the Black Bay DNA could handle a chrono, but rather that much of the movement architecture was provided by Breitling4: IN-DEPTH: The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master ChronometerThe Omega Aqua Terra with its robust build and subtle flash has always been a solid choice for daily duties, but this year's upgrade to Master Chronometer status made it that much more compelling.3: HANDS-ON: Return of an icon the TAG Heuer AutaviaTAG Heuer's Autavia reissue was highly anticipated, and it did not fail to deliver. The good looks and good size rounded off by the welcome return of the CH80 movement (albeit under the name of the Heuer-02).2: HANDS-ON: Seiko show their dark side with the Prospex SSC673P and SNE493PThe fact that this review was published only a few weeks ago is testament to the hotness of these blacked-out Seiko Prospex models, though we're sure Jason's superb pictures may have something to do with it too. The only surprise from our end is that it's the solar models that got top billing, and not the auto.1: HANDS-ON: Way of the warrior the Seiko Samurai returns in 2017Well, you guys like Seiko. And who can blame you? The Seiko Samurai one of their much-loved divers made a triumphant return this year, and with its combination of classic looks, sharp case and accessible price, it's easy to see how it won hearts and minds.So there you have it, our biggest watch reviews of 2017.
