IWC Schaffhausen has introduced the Ingenieur Automatic 35 at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, expanding its modern Ingenieur lineup with a more compact 35mm case. The new model is available in three versions: one in 18-carat 5N gold with a matching gold-colored dial and two stainless steel options featuring either a silver-plated or black dial. Despite the reduced size, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 maintains the same finishing and ergonomic attention found in the 40mm edition, launched in 2023 as a nod to Grald Genta's iconic 1970s design. The hallmark features of the Ingenieur remain intact in this 35mm version. It carries the signature bezel with five functional screws, an integrated bracelet with middle-link attachment, and the distinctive Grid dial with applied indices. Each element has been carefully resized and finished to suit the smaller dimensions, offering improved comfort without compromising the original design language. Surfaces alternate between satin and polished finishes, from the bezel to the H-link bracelet, delivering a dynamic yet balanced aesthetic.Inside, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 is powered by IWC's 47110 calibre, visible through a sapphire case back. The movement features circular graining, Geneva stripes, and a gold-plated rotor, delivering a 42-hour power reserve. Whether in gold or steel, each model includes finely detailed dial worksolid gold or rhodium-plated appliques filled with Super-LumiNova? and a neatly framed date window.
