IWC’s recent partnerships with Pantone, Orlebar Brown, Hot Wheels and more have yielded a variety of takes on different models from their collection. Their latest collaboration sees a green-tinged, effort bound in leather, rubber and ceramic, as Filling Pieces, a Dutch footwear brand, pay tribute to IWC’s “Woodland” Pilot’s Chronograph, released at this year’s?Watches and Wonders.The watchAt 44.5mm in diameter and with those long, sharp lugs, the Top Gun Chronograph is a sizeable proposition. The subdued hues of metallic green are a product of another IWC collaboration, this time with Pantone. While the “Woodland” portions of the case are made in coloured ceramic, the caseback and pushers are crafted from IWC’s proprietary Ceratanium material that also brings about its matte black finish. Powered by an IWC manufacture calibre 69390, the movement features a column wheel chronograph with 46 hours of power reserve.The sneakersThe distinctly modern silhouettes of Filling Pieces have been present since 2009, when Dutch designer Guillaume Philbert founded the brand. Through collaborations with the likes of Barney’s NY, Kith and Aime Leon Dore, their original Low Top sneaker has become somewhat of a signature design. The Low Top was meant to be the halo model of the brand, slotting into the space left between streetwear-oriented brands and luxury sneakers, all at a somewhat attainable price point.In perfect harmony with the “Woodland” Pilot’s Chronograph, the Low Top Ghost Woodland applies the Pantone green colour to its nubuck leather upper, with matte black details contrasting against the white ghost outsole.
