When writing and talking about watches, we?often throw around the phrase wrist presence'. It's one of the most indefinable, yet important, ?aspects of any timepiece. It’s a sort of horological X-factor that incorporates style, size and, well, coolness.?This titanium Planet Ocean chronograph has more wrist presence than I can comfortably handle, if I'm brutally honest. When it was shown to me at Baselworld, it was on a tray with a half-dozen other Planet Oceans, in all manner of colours and configurations. But this grey and orange beast from the deep virtually?leapt off the tray and onto my wrist.It's a big watch – bigger than I'd normally wear – but by golly does it work on the wrist. That’s partly?because the size is offset by the heavily tapered and exceptionally comfortable strap (and how cool is the,?strap by the way the woven look of the rubber and the contrasting stitching just pops). The other big bonus is that while the steel versions of this watch require you to do some heavy lifting, the titanium case of this model significantly cuts down the weight.
