This week at Time+Tide has been pretty diverse when I look back. We considered the latest Bulgari collaboration with Steve Aoki, the price of Picasso’s these days and the state of domestic Cambodian politics. We also received word that the very first pieces of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 collection are hitting Australian shores soon and we are delighted to offer them through our shop as of this afternoon. It wasn’t too long ago that we spent some good time with the quartz powered Tissot PRX collection, an angular watch with an integrated bracelet that looked like it was straight outta ’78. At 40mm in diameter and a slender 10.4mm thick, the proportions are in goldilocks territory, but the heart wants what it wants and for many people that was an automatic movement.Lucky for those folks, Tissot were already working hard on a mechanically powered collection, which will feature the same diameter and stand just 0.4mm taller at 10.8mm thick.
