One of the watches we are most looking forward to getting our sweaty, watch loving palms on is the Blancpain Ocean Commitment Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph.When the model was first announced late last year we reached quickly for the heart-shaped-eyes-emoji. We were in love and also bitterly, deeply frustrated that it is limited to only 250 pieces.The fact that Blancpain have installed a massive multimedia hub in the centre of the main Baselworld hall dedicated to promoting and telling the story of the Fifty Fathoms has only fuelled the fire, because guess which watch takes pride of place, amongst the oversized half-bezel and interesting historical displays? One and the same.The case that you would be forgiven for thinking is brushed steel, is actually grey ceramic. The dial is as velvety and vibrant as it looked, but we’re also keen to see it in natural light out of the Baselworld glare. The love affair continues and the Hands-On Review is only days away.
