The watch, available in an eight-piece limited edition, features a 40 mm-diameter case made in ethical 18-carat gold, with a guilloch dial and an officer-type case back with a hinged cover. When the crown is pressed, the cover opens to reveal a sapphire case back, held in place by an ingenious spring system. The dial of the Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer Vend?me One is in Bering blue, a shade reminiscent of the distinctive blue doorways of Place Vend?me. The timepiece is powered by the ultra-thin L.U.C Calibre 96.01-L, known for its certified chronometer-worthy precision and 65-hour power reserve. The movement is finished to the highest standards, featuring an engraved 22-carat gold micro-rotor and two stacked barrels using Chopard's Twin technology.This model also highlights a storied engraving heritage, with a guilloch honeycomb motif on the dial and officer-style back cover, as well as a hand-engraving of the Sun inside the case-back, linking it to the reign of Louis XIV.
