It's no secret that British rapper Dave loves his timepieces, indeed he's become a bit of a Time+Tide favourite when it comes to watch spotting. Ahead of his hugely anticipated sophomore album We're All Alone in This Together, the lyrical genius took to his Instagram stories this week to announce the first single dropping would be a collaboration with another British national treasure, Stormzy. But that’s not all the two rappers share – a recent Instagram post shows both Stormzy and Dave have serious Audemars Piguet collections, too.The track entitled Clash, is certain to be a huge hit and there's no doubting that there is a lot to unpack in it. Cultural references include Pep Guardiola, Jeremy Corbyn, Alan Sugar, Piers Morgan, Viola Davis and Jordyn Woods, plus a host of the duo's favourite luxury brands. There's a shout out to Aston Martin and Nike Jordan 1s, 4s and 6s, but it's the horological references that have us hitting the repeat button.Rolexes, got more than one / My AP cost thirty-one / Millimeter's forty-one, raps Dave, to which Stormy retorts, Rollies, got twenty-one / I been lit since twenty-one.To announce the collab, Dave also posted a snap of the pair holding their impressive haul of timepieces. Both appear to have a definite soft spot for Audemars Piguet.Stormzy's haulLooking at the watches from right to left, Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. aka Stormzy boasts an Audemars Piguet Royal Royal Oak Ceramic, an AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar as well as two Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked pieces, one in white gold and one in black ceramic.Dave plays his handSantan Dave full name David Orobosa Omoregie appears to be holding similar pieces to Stormzy, but his two Double Balance Wheel Openworked pieces are white gold with rainbow baguettes around the bezel as you would as well as a stainless-steel piece.Frankly, it’s already getting us excited to see what other watches will get a shout out when the album drops on July 23.
