For over twenty years, Blancpain has manufactured unique watches for Valentine's Day, and in 2024, they have taken inspiration from their Ladybird Colors collection. This edition features a vivid red color scheme, with heart shapes and sparkling diamonds, encapsulating the spirit of Valentine's Day. The Ladybird Colors series is a recent addition to Blancpain's women's watch collection, known for its wide and diverse color range. The Valentine's Day version shines in red, with a dial made from mother of pearl, displaying red Roman numerals. Each dial in the Ladybird Colors series is enhanced with a golden ring at 6 o'clock, set with diamonds that gradually increase in size. The Valentine's edition further accentuates this with a heart-shaped lower half of the diamond ring. The design also includes a Cupid's arrow, functioning as the large seconds hand, decorated with a small red heart and a feather-shaped counterbalance.The watch is powered by Blancpain's own 1153 automatic winding caliber, operating at 3 Hz. It features dual mainspring barrels, providing a power reserve of four days. The white gold winding rotor is elegantly crafted with a heart motif, visible through the sapphire case back.The Ladybird Saint-Valentine's edition 2024 comes in a 34.9 mm case in white gold, with hand-set diamonds on the bezel and lugs, with over 2 carats of diamonds used in total on the bezel, lugs, dial, and buckle. The face of this watch features a very pretty Hummingbird. The blem was that I couldn't see the time, because the hands of the watch were very and hidden/ camouflaged within face of the watch - the bird's body.
